Piano Lessons
Piano lessons are in the music studio
where everyone plays
the Yamaha grand piano.
Parents are welcome to stay and listen.
There is no upper age limit to start learning the piano.
I have some very succesful
secondary school starters,
as well as mature students.
For young children the best time
to start is around 7 - 8 years of age.
If you feel your child is ready
I am happy to meet you and advise.
Singing Lessons
I strongly believe that
everyone can sing.
I teach classical singing
and musical theatre,
working on the core elements,
good posture and breath support.
Students can sing for pleasure
or prepare for exams -
I have had several grade 8 distinction
results in the recent years,
a welcome advantage
to univeristy applicants.
Concerts
We are lucky to have access to
a fantastic concert venue in Grantham -
the Christchurch on Finkin Street.
We usually have 2 concerts per year -
at the end of the summer term
and before Christmas.
All students are encouraged
(but not forced)
to play or sing in the concerts,
giving everyone the opportunity to perform.
Exams
I prepare piano and singing sudents
for practical exams
from grade 1 to grade 8.
We can work towards
ABRSM or Trinity exams,
which can be taken in exam centres
or in my studio - and submitted digitally online.
Once you begin your study I will explain all your exam options and advise what is best for you.
I also prepare my students for written
theory examinations.
Instrument
All piano students need good access to
an instrument
as regular practice is key to progress.
However, it is not necessary to own an expensive grand piano and there are plenty acoustic and digital instruments available on the market -
both new and second hand.

About Me
I attended I.Paderewski Music School
in Poland for 12 years
and later studied music in Cracow.
I also hold an MA
from Nottingham Univeristy.
I have over 10 years teaching experience
with fantastic exam results.
I was greatly inspired
by my first piano teacher
who has since become
my great friend and mentor,
trying to ensure that all students have the same opportunity to enrich thier lives with music.
